We’ve all been waiting for a while (some of us more impatiently than others), and the books are finally in the mail to all the wonderful Kickstarter supporters who requested a book for their pledge.
Let me tell you, this truly was a “labor” of love (pun intended), and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who has supported me through this entire project. As someone who is not at all good at practicing patience, I have done all that I can to remind myself that the process was out of my control and there was only so much I could do.
The people I worked with at BookLogix were amazing! My guess is that Jessica, Sarah, Aaron, and Andrea are used to people asking lots of questions, emailing constantly, looking for updates, and everything else that goes along with pulling off a project like this. They were always friendly and gracious, and I am so thankful that I had a great team to work with.
This original order of books is enough to cover all the people who pledged during the Kickstarter campaign, those who have pre-ordered, and extras for those who have decided to wait until the process is complete. If you have been waiting…the wait is over! Shop now! I can send the book directly to you or even wrap it up as a gift for your family and friends.
Just prior to picking up all the books, I engaged a friend I met in a doll-making Facebook group and asked her if she would be willing to make a doll to represent the baby on the front cover of the book. And, she took on the challenge making me the lovely doll in the photo below! If you ever want a specialty doll – be sure to reach out to Monica at Mon Câlin Dolls.
I sent a book to Ellen DeGeneres in hopes that she will find the humor in it just like her “Why I don’t have kids” segment. This book is absolutely perfect for it! I need your help in tweeting her show, tagging on Facebook, and everywhere else on social media. I put a sticker on the outside of the package which I hope will catch the eye of someone in the mailroom!
I thought the sticker turned out well and decided to add it to every package. You never know who might read the label in transit and order a book!
Help me tag her everywhere! When sharing your social media posts use hashtag #SayNoToKidsBook
